Please join us in a celebration of young, highly accomplished industry leaders. The SGB 40 Under 40
Awards serves as an annual event designed to identify and honor those of the next generation that are leading
today and will most assuredly lead for years to come. The awards process began with more than 500
nominations. The origin of the nominations, years of service, level of responsibility attained,
individual accomplishments, and commitment to teamwork were all elements that were reviewed in each nomination.
Nominations from co-workers and senior management were highly regarded, as was recognition by vendors for
strong merchant skills on the retail side. In the end, it was very difficult to narrow this list down to
just 40 individuals. Behind them—and beside them—stand hundreds more that share in the finalists’ success,
or that have been influenced by the finalists in some form or fashion.
